1. Who is responsible

2. Information we use

• Quiz answers. Your answers about fears, experiences and goals, used to prepare your results and guide. Some answers may reveal information about your health or wellbeing.
• Email and purchase details. Your email address, order reference and payment status, used to deliver your purchase and help with problems.
• Website information. Our hosting and payment providers process technical details such as your IP address and browser. We also save campaign tags and ad click identifiers from the link you followed, to see which campaigns bring visitors.

3. How we use your answers

Your answers are saved in your browser as option identifiers, and your results and guide are assembled automatically from them. When you open checkout, the answer identifiers and your email are sent to us and stored in the payment provider’s checkout record so we can create your guide, even if you do not complete payment.

4. Why we use information

We use your information to provide the quiz and guide, confirm payment, deliver your purchase and help with problems. Our legal bases are performing our contract with you, legal obligations for transaction records, and our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.

By starting the quiz and checking out, you agree that we use answers that may reveal health information to personalize your results and guide. You can withdraw this consent at any time by emailing us.

5. Who receives information

• Website hosting: processing website requests and preparing your guide.
• Payments: Stripe / Link handles checkout, order records, fraud prevention and transaction support, and uses information for its own payment and legal duties. We never store your full card details.
• Email delivery: sending your purchase email.

We may disclose information when required by law. We do not sell your answers or share them with advertising networks.

Our providers may process information in the United States. These transfers rely on recognised safeguards such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

6. Browser storage and retention

Your browser keeps your quiz answers, email and campaign information until you clear this site’s data. Clearing it does not delete records saved with checkout. We do not currently use advertising pixels or session recording; payment and hosting providers may use cookies for their services and security.

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including delivering your guide, supporting your purchase, legal obligations and disputes.

7. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or transfer your data, restrict or object to its use, or withdraw consent, by emailing support@pastfear.com. Deleting your answers means we cannot recreate your guide. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority.

PastFear is for adults aged 18 or older. We may update this policy; the effective date shows the current version.
